The Pirate Translator iPhone app
brings the full English to Pirate Translator to the iPhone with a 500 word dictionary to handle all you Pirate translation needs. Type text directly into the Translator or copy and paste from another app. Despite the complexity of the substitutions, translations usually occur in less than a second.
There are three tabs to the Pirate Translator.
- Translate - Translate English to Pirate! Enter English text at the top and tap "Translate". Pirate text appears at the bottom. The "Share Insult" button is only available in the Pirate Utility app.
- Suggest - Make suggestions for new translations or features from within the app.
- Settings - Spice up your translations.
Paid Version
The
Pirate Utility iPhone app combines the
Pirate Insult Generator and the Pirate Translator with the added abilities of sending insults and translations directly to the Mail app and of copying insults and translations for pasting into other apps. Look for it on the App Store.
Future Features
- Screen rotation - I have it working in the development version, but not consistently yet.
- Post insults to Twitter

By using this app, you hold Pirate Monkeyness and Tim Moses harmless for any damage to your iPhone, yourself, or your personal property from misuse of translations generated by the Pirate Translator. If you are negotiating with pirates and your life is at stake, don't blame me if a pirate takes your translation in the wrong way.
